Product Performance and Quality Indicators
The product is abbreviated as PAC in English, and its molecular formula is [Al(OH)nCl6-n]m (m≤10, n = 1~5). At room temperature, it exists in two forms: liquid and solid. The pure liquid is a colorless, transparent, and viscous solution. After drying and dehydration, it becomes a white, transparent, and brittle glassy crystal with an amorphous structure determined by X-ray diffraction. Below 110°C, it slowly loses 15%~20% of free water. It strongly absorbs moisture in the air. When the drying temperature is higher than 130°C, it turns into a light yellow powder. Due to different raw materials used and purification processes, polyaluminium chloride often has a gray-green or gray-black color. This product complies with the national standard GB15892-1995. Uses
This product is used for the treatment of oily sewage in oil fields. Because the tetravalent polymeric ion [Alg:(0H)20]4+ in polyaluminium chloride carries a relatively high positive charge, and the molecular weight of polyaluminium chloride is large, after coagulation, it can form relatively large flocs, which can easily carry more oil droplets to float up or carry more suspended substances with a relatively high density to sink. Therefore, its flocculation ability is stronger than that of aluminium sulfate. On-site, it is generally used in combination with polyacrylamide. The dosage is 5 - 1000 mg/L for polyaluminium chloride and varies for polyacrylamide. It is suitable for oily sewage with polyacrylamide added. It has the characteristics of a shorter time for floc formation after dosing, less influence by the sewage temperature, and a wide applicable pH range for sewage.
