I. What is Fracturing Equipment?


The surface tool equipment for fracturing mainly includes wellhead packers, wellhead ball valves, ball launchers, swivel bends, unions, wax ball manifolds, fracturing manifolds, etc., which are surface control tools above the wellhead.


Among them, the fracturing manifold is mainly composed of the main body, control valves, and unions, and is in the shape of a tree fork. The tree fork-shaped main body is made up of two types: one is welded by high-quality alloy steel pipes, and the other is composed of forged tees. The bearing capacity of the welded one is 60 Mpa, and the bearing capacity of the forged one is 70 Mpa. There are mainly two types of control valves, namely ball valves and plug valves, and their bearing capacity is 70 Mpa. During fracturing operations, the fracturing truck is connected to the 2" union at the control valve end, and the surface pipeline leading to the wellhead is connected to the 2 1/2" union. The vent valve is used to discharge the residual pressure and liquid in the manifold.

II. What is Fracturing Equipment Used for?


Fracturing equipment is used for oil reservoir fracturing processes. High-pressure and large-displacement liquids with a certain viscosity are squeezed into the oil reservoir. After creating many fractures in the oil reservoir, proppants (such as quartz sand, etc.) are added and filled into the fractures to improve the permeability of the oil reservoir, so as to increase the water injection volume (for injection wells) or oil production volume (for oil wells). Commonly used fracturing fluids include five basic types: water-based fracturing fluids, oil-based fracturing fluids, emulsified fracturing fluids, foam fracturing fluids, and acid-based fracturing fluids.


Among them, the fracturing truck is the main equipment for fracturing. Its function is to inject high-pressure and large-displacement fracturing fluid into the well, fracture the formation, and squeeze proppants into the fractures. The fracturing truck is mainly composed of four major components: the carrier, the power system, the transmission system, and the pump body. The fracturing pump is the main working unit of the fracturing truck. The on-site construction has very high requirements for the technical performance of the fracturing truck. The fracturing truck must have the characteristics of high pressure, large displacement, corrosion resistance, and strong wear resistance.
